Roles & Responsibilities
- Make sure every patient is happy, receives excellent care, and would recommend Rehab Solutions to family and friends
- Implement company initiatives, changes in policy, work schedules, regulations, processes and procedures
- Become familiar with policy and procedures manual and ensure compliance throughout the clinic from all staff
- Manage day to day operations of the assigned clinic
- OC management
- Oversee referral log
- Oversee DME orders
- Tech management
- Proper limitations/utilization of techs
- Assure cleaning schedule is being followed
- Send techs home if not needed
- Maintain good relationships with payors
- Ensure worker’s comp progress notes, initial evaluations, and discharges are complete and faxed same day
- Frequently monitor medical records request log to ensure attorney’s needs are being met
- OC management
- Documenting actions taken to resolve problems, and report to upper-level management Track and approve therapists time off/CEU requests
- Collaborate with other clinic directors to coordinate coverage if/when needed
- Focus on metrics including but not limited to: total visits, new referrals, arrival percentage, units per visit, visits per referral, denial/appeal requests, and prescription expirations/progress note completion.
- Organize and run scheduled staff meetings
- Assist with marketing strategies to ensure clinic is successful including physician outreach, community events, sponsorship opportunities, and working together with the other local clinics
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing
- Complete bi-annual performance reviews of staff therapist, office coordinators, and techs
- Take appropriate actions to ensure compliance with state and federal laws
- Mentor staff physical therapists, especially new hires and/or new grads
- Create a fun and engaging working environment
- Motivate and encourage staff; lead by example in every aspect of the clinic
Office Coordinator
Roles & Responsibilities
- Greets patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Answers all phone calls and emails, calls new referrals to set up for PT, and sets up existing patients with follow-up appointments.
- Processes patient payments and determines patient balances for each visit
- Manages outgoing and incoming correspondence with patients, doctors offices, and insurance companies.
- Files, organizes and maintains office operations (i.e. scanning documents, obtaining plan of care documentation, and obtaining authorizations for PT)
- Keeps inventory of office, and orders supplies as needed
- Verifies patient intake, patient insurance policies and determines pricing for PT services. Including deductibles and out-of -pocket maximum accumulations, and authorization requirements.
- Educates patients on their specific insurance policies, copays/coinsurances,self-pay policies, and financial hardship programs.
Physical Therapist
Roles & Responsibilities
- Facilitating and managing patient care duties following the guidelines established by practice act, licensing board, and under direction of and referral by physician in respective state
- Overseeing and providing, where qualifications exist, quality patient care according to practice standards of American Physical Therapy Association appropriate to age and disability related to limitation in function
- Acting as a representative of Rehab Solutions and the Physical Therapy profession in a positive and professional way
- Marketing patient care services to community, physicians, other referral sources
- Overseeing patient care and clinic billing practices
- Developing individualized treatment plans for patients
- Outlining clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan
- Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury
- Recording patients' progress and modifying the plan of care if needed
- Educating patients and family members about the recovery process
- Consults with physicians and/or other departments about the impact of PT factors on patient health status.
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Able to perform wound care in relation to surgical procedures to optimize therapeutic outcomes
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy required
Required: Current PT State license
Must maintain BLS certification
Experience: 2 years preferred
Physical Therapist Technician
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assisting physical therapists and physical therapists assistants with patient care.
- Assisting physical therapists with charting regarding patients
- Attain continued knowledge of patient exercises, proper form for completion, and how to customize patient exercises
- Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment following treatment
- Transports patients to and from treatment area.
- Assisting patient service coordinators with maintenance of front desk duties as
- needed.
- Safeguard, motivates, and assists patients to learn and improve function activities
- such as direction of professional staff. Will be required to demonstrate correct activity form or function.
- Observes the patient during various physical activities designed in the treatment plan, compiling progress on patients’ response to treatment.
- Accountable for maintaining HIPPA guidelines
- Other miscellaneous tasks as needed by physical therapists’
